Sugar Rush

I’ve been down this path a dozen times before
Never noticed certain cobblestones
Must have eaten something
That did not agree with me

I believe I once could see my house from here
There’s a mist like syrup on my brow
Fogging up my vision with some caterpillar smoke

It’s all topsy and turvy
Spun like cotton candy
Turvy and topsy
Think I’m getting scurvy

I have tried to cure myself with lemon drops
it didn’t pan out well
I think this may be Hell

Dark chocolate Wispas in the trees tonight
Thank God there’s a full-on cheesecake moon
I can make out shadows in this candy-coated land

It’s all topsy and turvy
Spun like cotton candy
Turvy and topsy
Think I’m getting scurvy

I have tried to cure myself with lemon drops
it didn’t pan out well
I think this may be Hell

There’s a sweeter reality
Than the one it seems like I’m dreaming
If I can open up my eyes
If I just open up my eyes

So I climbed my way back up to consciousness
Lying in the candy aisle, alone
Can’t believe I almost died
Shopping for some treats

And I went topsy and turvy
Spun like cotton candy
Turvy and topsy
Should have stuck with turkey

Now I know what I won’t do for a Klondike Bar
Pleasure may come cheap
But a sugar rush ain’t free
A sugar rush ain’t free
No no no
No no no
No no!

Aw man
